Asia-Pacific is on course to become one of the fastest-growing regions for business aviation over the next decade, according to Didier Raynard, senior vice president of sales for Asia-Pacific at Dassault Aviation. During an interview, Raynard discussed the company's latest ultra-long-range aircraft, the Falcon 10X, which boasts a 7,500 nautical mile cruising capability and a spacious, flexible cabin designed for long-haul comfort with multiple lounges and a crew rest area.
He explained that demand in the region is strong, driven by existing clients upgrading to larger, more capable jets and the emergence of new buyers entering the market. Dassault's strategic acquisitions, such as the 2019 purchase of ExecuJet MRO, underlie its commitment to providing extensive support infrastructure, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul services across Southeast Asia and other parts of Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Raynard highlighted the importance of regional infrastructure, noting ongoing development of airports in Vietnam and broader Southeast Asia, which will facilitate further market expansion. He emphasized that fostering personal relationships with clients remains a priority, helping Dassault sustain its market share and provide tailored customer support.
Outlook for Future Growth
The company anticipates continued growth due to economic improvements and infrastructure investments, especially in Vietnam. Both wealthy families and corporate clients are increasingly favoring business jets for efficiency and international business development, particularly as the next generation of owners becomes involved. Dassault plans to strengthen its regional presence by maintaining high support standards and building long-term trust with clients. These factors position Asia-Pacific as a promising market segment for Dassault and the broader business aviation industry.
