The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has approved a strategic joint business agreement (JBA) involving Qatar Airways Group, IAG Cargo, and MASkargo. This approval enables the three entities to coordinate their scheduling, pricing, and sales activities across their global cargo networks, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and expand reach.

The approval, issued on September 16, 2026, reflects a careful regulatory review indicating that the benefits—such as a broader network and improved cargo services—likely outweigh any potential reduction in competition on certain routes. The JBA, initiated in mid-January and announced in April 2025, is nearing full implementation and is expected to be fully operational later in 2026, covering more than 400 destinations worldwide.

The participating airlines have already completed their first trilateral customer shipment, marking a significant milestone towards the full deployment of their integrated cargo operations. This alliance is designed to streamline scheduling, increase collaboration, and optimize cargo capacity sharing among the partners, ultimately providing better services for customers across the globe.
