Riga Airport and Incheon International Airport Collaborate to Enhance Aviation Training Programs

Riga Airport has entered into a strategic partnership with the Aviation Academy of South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC). This collaboration aims to develop and implement new aviation training programmes, promote instructor exchanges, and strengthen international cooperation in the aviation sector.

Chairperson of the Board of Riga Airport, Ms. Laila Odiņa, emphasized that the partnership will enhance Riga Airport’s training centre, RIX Academy, by combining European-standard expertise with the capabilities of the Incheon Aviation Academy. "This collaboration will help us export our knowledge globally and attract more trainees," she said.

About RIX Academy

RIX Academy offers over 160 aviation training programmes, including security, ground handling, airfield operations, and crisis management. It trains more than 15,000 specialists annually from Latvia and abroad and has been an ACI-accredited training centre since 2017.

In 2023, RIX Academy became part of the ACI Accredited Training Partners, reflecting its commitment to high standards in aviation training.
