The Routes Asia 2026 Awards highlighted the efforts of various destinations and airports in Asia-Pacific that have driven air service development and tourism recovery. Australia’s Northern Territory collaborated with Qantas to launch the 'She’s Alice' marketing campaign promoting Alice Springs and the Red Centre, generating over 3 million video views and significantly enhancing domestic visibility. Similarly, Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center in Vietnam expanded regional tourism by integrating culture, heritage, and eco-tourism to attract international travelers, working closely with airlines and airports to boost connectivity. Sanya Tourism Board in China achieved record inbound tourism growth in 2025 through route development and airline partnerships, significantly increasing global connectivity and visitor spending.

The Awards also recognized the importance of collaboration between tourism authorities, airlines, and airports in revitalizing regional travel, emphasizing innovative marketing and strategic infrastructure investments. Winners will be announced during the Routes Asia Networking Evening in Xi’an, China, on April 15, 2026.

These initiatives reflect the ongoing efforts within the region to recover from previous disruptions and to promote sustainable, cultural, and economic growth through air travel. Industry stakeholders remain committed to expanding networks and enhancing destination profiles to reach new markets and support regional development.
