Additionally, the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism achieved record tourism growth by expanding its air network to include 54 airlines operating 132 routes across 48 countries, resulting in increased visitor numbers and revenue. Malta Tourism Authority also received recognition for its strategy that links over 112 routes supported by a nearly doubled seat capacity since 2015, aiding Malta’s influx of inbound tourists.
The Saudi Air Connectivity Program has notably accelerated the kingdom’s international air expansion, working with 20 airlines across 27 routes in 2025, supporting over 3.4 million seats—more than double the capacity in 2022. These initiatives demonstrate a strategic focus on enhancing global air links, diversifying markets, and fostering sustainable growth. The awards will be presented at the Networks Evening in Rimini, Italy on May 19, 2026, with winners expected to showcase initiatives that best exemplify innovation and regional development in aviation.
