Royal Brunei Airlines has formed a strategic partnership with Unilode Aviation Solutions to optimize its Unit Load Device (ULD) management through a global digitised pooling system. This initiative aims to boost operational efficiency and reinforce the airline's commitment to sustainability by reducing waste and lowering carbon emissions. Unilode will integrate Royal Brunei Airlines into its extensive international ULD network, offering access to advanced digital tracking and on-demand maintenance services, which are expected to improve logistical responsiveness and cost-effectiveness.
The collaboration highlights the industry's shift toward shared asset management and digital innovation to achieve more sustainable and flexible operations. Mohammed Akhlaq, Chief Commercial Officer at Unilode, expressed confidence that pooling provides a proven pathway for airlines to enhance efficiency while supporting their environmental targets.
