Owners of San Marino-registered aircraft will now have the ability to operate them aboard Aruba-issued air operator certificates (AOCs) following a new regulatory oversight agreement signed between the civil aviation authorities of the two jurisdictions. The agreement marks a significant development in international civil aviation cooperation, enabling greater operational flexibility for aircraft owners and operators registered in San Marino and operating in Aruba.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials including David Colindres and Marco Conti from the San Marino Civil Aviation Authority, as well as Edwin Kelly from the Aruba Department of Civil Aviation. Representatives from the aviation industry emphasized the importance of such agreements in fostering international cooperation and streamlining aircraft operations across borders. The agreement facilitates mutual recognition of civil aviation oversight, which may simplify certification processes and expand operational opportunities for aircraft owners.
This move is expected to benefit the business aviation community significantly by providing more flexible options for aircraft operation and management. Industry experts see this as a step towards increased collaboration and harmonization of civil aviation standards between San Marino and Aruba, ultimately contributing to a more integrated global aviation system.
