Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has achieved recognition in five categories at this year's The Aviation Challenge awards, organized by SkyTeam. These awards honor excellence and innovation in the aviation sector, with a particular emphasis on environmental sustainability. SAS's nominations reflect its ongoing efforts to develop solutions that reduce the industry's carbon footprint.
Mads Brandstrup, SAS's Senior Vice President of Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability, stated that the company's multiple nominations are a testament to the dedication of its staff in pursuit of efficiency and sustainability. Key categories for SAS include Most Impactful Solution – Cargo, featuring lightweight cargo straps, and Most Impactful Solution – GroundOps, focusing on de-icing sustainability.
