Saudi Arabia is making strategic efforts to bolster its position as a top international tourist destination by partnering with Cluster2 Airports to enhance airport and tourism services. Announced at the Riyadh TOURISE Summit 2025, this Memorandum of Understanding aims to improve the overall visitor experience, streamline airport operations, and promote the country's rich heritage and scenic destinations.
The initiative is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to attract 100 million tourists annually by 2030. The partnership emphasizes digital service enhancements, multilingual assistance, and sustainable tourism practices, targeting more efficient airport processes and greater exposure of key attractions like Al-Ula, Diriyah, Riyadh, and luxury resorts along the Red Sea coast.
Officials highlighted that the collaboration will support the kingdom’s economic diversification goals by creating new employment opportunities and encouraging private sector investment in tourism infrastructure. By showcasing the country's diverse cultural, historical, and natural sites, Saudi Arabia seeks to appeal to both regional and international tourists, strengthening its global tourism profile.
This comprehensive approach reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to integrating aviation and tourism sectors to deliver world-class visitor experiences, with the expected outcome of increased arrivals and sustained tourism sector growth across the kingdom.
