Santai Seaplane, a startup Indonesian seaplane operator, is preparing to establish a new primary hub in Banyuwangi, East Java. The company will develop a dedicated operations and sales center under a Build-Operate-Transfer framework, supported by InJourney Airports and Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi. Deployment of Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Amphibian aircraft is planned for early 2026 to connect East Java with popular destinations including North Bali, Lombok, Moyo Island, and regional centers like Surabaya. The airline aims to support charter services in addition to scheduled flights.

The new Banyuwangi hub will facilitate regional seaplane operations, making it a strategic point for the company's expansion. This initiative aligns with Indonesia's broader efforts to improve regional connectivity through aviation. The company has indicated that the first services will utilize Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft, known for their versatility and suitability for short and medium routes in challenging environments.

Details about the company and its services suggest a focus on small aircraft operations, with plans to launch in early 2026. The airline's commitment to regional development is part of a wider trend of seaplane utilization to access remote or less-developed areas efficiently.
