SERE Holdings, the parent company of Northern Ireland-based air ambulance and executive jet charter provider 247 Aviation, has completed its acquisition of Woodgate Aviation. The move establishes the new SERE Aviation Group, consolidating regional medical and charter aviation services under a unified platform in Northern Ireland.
The acquisition encompasses Woodgate's UK air operator's certificate, which covers Beechcraft King Air B200 aircraft and Piper PA-31 planes used for air ambulance and aerial mapping operations. These assets will be integrated with 247 Aviation's existing fleet and facilities to enhance service delivery and operational scope.
This strategic expansion aims to create one of the largest non-scheduled aviation operators in Northern Ireland, with facilities at Belfast International and Belfast City airports. The combined entity will be managed by subsidiary Jet Assist, streamlining operations and maintenance services.
Earlier this year, 247 Aviation broadened its operational reach by acquiring two Learjet 45XR jets and establishing a new base in southern England with a substantial investment. The company's fleet includes PC-12s, Pilatus PC-24s, and DA62 aircraft, some of which serve Silver Aviation clients. The future integration of their aircraft operator certificates will likely reinforce their service capabilities across the UK and Ireland.
