Sharp Aviation K, South Korea’s leading independent aviation service company, is undertaking significant expansion to bolster its aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities. The firm plans to open two new hangars by 2026 and 2027, enabling it to service up to 20 aircraft simultaneously, with projected annual sales of approximately 50 billion won ($34.8 million).
This expansion aligns with the company's goal to strengthen its reputation as a reliable, one-stop aviation partner for global airlines at eight airports nationwide. Currently serving over 55 international airlines, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air India, and Finnair, the company aims to leverage its expanding infrastructure and strategic partnerships, such as with Pratt & Whitney, to meet rising demand.
CEO Paik Soon-suk emphasized the company's focus on sustainable growth and global recognition, highlighting investments exceeding 200 billion won to develop new facilities and services. Sharp Aviation K’s diverse offerings, including ground handling and aircraft MRO, position it as a key player in South Korea’s aviation sector, supporting both domestic and international airline operations now and in the future.
