Singapore Airlines has been recognized as the world's best airline for 2026, winning this accolade for the sixth time at the Skytrax World Airline Awards held in London on September 18, 2026. The airline also received awards for the best economy class, onboard catering, and as the best airline in Asia, reflecting its ongoing commitment to customer service excellence.
The awards were based on a detailed global survey involving over 300 airlines and more than 100 nationalities. Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted commended Singapore Airlines for its consistent high standards, stating, “We congratulate Singapore Airlines on this major achievement of being named the World's Best Airline 2026, which highlights the level of product and service excellence they are providing to customers.”
Goh Choon Phong, the airline’s CEO, attributed the recognition to staff and customer trust, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining exceptional service levels and operational standards. The awards also recognized Scoot, Singapore Airlines' subsidiary, as the best long-haul low-cost airline for the sixth time in a row, highlighting the group's success across diverse market segments.
The Skytrax survey, conducted from September 2025 to August 2026, underscores the importance of quality service in the aviation industry. Singapore Airlines' multiple wins reinforce its reputation as a leading global airline committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.
