Singapore Airlines has been named the best airline in the world for 2026 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, recognized for excellence in service and operational standards. The airline secured the top position among more than 300 airlines evaluated, overtaking last year's winner, Qatar Airways.
In addition to the overall award, Singapore Airlines received titles for the world's best economy class and onboard catering, reflecting its commitment to passenger experience. The airline's CEO, Goh Choon Phong, expressed pride and gratitude, emphasizing the dedication of staff to uphold the airline’s high standards.
Industry resilience and regional strengths
Alongside Singapore Airlines, other airlines recognized in the top rankings include Cathay Pacific Airways, ANA All Nippon Airways, and Turkish Airlines. Regional carrier AirAsia was once again named the world's best low-cost airline, marking its 17th consecutive win, while Scoot was honored as the best long-haul low-cost carrier.
