Singapore Airlines has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights from Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) beginning on 23 November. This development marks the airline's expansion into Sydney's newest airport, providing increased connectivity for passengers and enhancing the region’s access to Asia and the world.

The flights, operated by the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, will depart WSI at 11:55 pm and arrive in Singapore at 5:00 am. Return services will leave Singapore at 11:30 am, landing in Western Sydney at 10:20 pm, enabling convenient overnight travel options. The new route aims to strengthen connections between Sydney and Singapore, supporting WSI's status as a 24/7 airport with unrestricted late-night flights.

Singapore Airlines was the first international carrier to sign on at WSI, and airport authorities celebrate the milestone as a significant step in increasing aviation capacity and offering new routes for travelers in Greater Sydney. Transport Minister Catherine King highlighted WSI’s potential to alleviate demand at Sydney’s Kingsford Smith Airport, which operates under a curfew, making WSI particularly advantageous for overnight and late flights.

Other airlines, including QantasLink, Jetstar, and Air New Zealand, are also set to operate from the airport, with negotiations ongoing to attract additional carriers. This expansion is expected to boost regional economic growth, with WSI establishing itself as a key aviation hub in Australia.
