Sino Jet, a leading operator in Hong Kong’s private aviation sector, has announced the addition of 50 Aerofugia AE200 eVTOL aircraft to its fleet, expanding its commitment to innovative urban mobility solutions. This order complements an earlier agreement signed at the Aero Asia show in Zhuhai, bringing the total to 150 AE200 units. The move signifies a strategic shift towards integrating low-altitude, short-distance air transportation into traditional private jet services, promising to enhance mobility efficiency in the region.
The AE200 eVTOL aircraft, with a range of 200 kilometers and a cruising speed of 230 km/h, is designed for airport transfers, intercity travel, and tourism. By deploying these aircraft, Sino Jet anticipates reducing travel times substantially, especially in congested urban areas, with potential reductions of up to 50% over comparable road journeys. The company plans to leverage its existing network of fixed-base operations in China and internationally, including bases in Singapore, Japan, Europe, the United States, and Dubai, to facilitate seamless operations and infrastructure for eVTOL landings in key districts.
Safety and Integration
Sino Jet has committed to applying its established safety standards to the eVTOL fleet, extending rigorous safety management and staff training to ensure operational reliability. The integration of Aerofugia’s technology aligns with the company's long-term vision to combine conventional business aviation with urban air mobility, creating a secure, environmentally friendly, multi-dimensional transportation network.
This strategic expansion aims to transform urban mobility, enabling faster, more efficient travel options for both business travelers and city residents. As Sino Jet pioneers this hybrid model, the region may soon see a revolution in how air transportation is used for short-haul trips and urban connectivity.
