“Each year, The Aviation Challenge provides participating airlines with a platform to turn innovation into action and take practical steps towards sustainability,” said Patrick Roux, SkyTeam CEO. “This fourth edition has been especially inspiring, with participants demonstrating determination, ingenuity and initiative throughout the Challenge. Their commitment was reflected in a record number of showcase flights. We congratulate all the airlines on their efforts to help shape a more responsible future for aviation.”

The winners will be announced during an event in Copenhagen from January 20-22, hosted by SAS, which has itself been named a finalist in five categories, including Most impactful solution for Cargo and Ground Operations. SAS's SVP, Mads Brandstrup, highlighted the importance of collective effort and ongoing innovation within the airline.

This initiative underscores the aviation industry’s commitment to environmental responsibility, with finalists’ solutions demonstrating measurable achievements in emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and waste management. The competition continues to drive progress and foster collaboration among leading airlines worldwide.
