Singapore Airlines Named Best Airline at 2026 Skytrax Awards
The 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards have recognized Singapore Airlines as the top airline globally, with awards across various cabin classes. Air France emerged as the best in First Class, Qatar Airways in Business Class, EVA Air in Premium Economy, and Singapore Airlines in Economy.
Qantas performed well regionally, ranking ninth among First Class cabins and securing the top regional title for Australia/Pacific. The awards, determined by public voting, serve as a benchmark of airline performance across different service aspects.
Highlights in airline and service awards
Qatar Airways' Qsuite won the best Business Class seat, and its Doha lounge was named the best Business Class lounge. Singapore Airlines was awarded the best overall airline, with other winners including Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa for specific categories.
“These awards belong to our people. Sixty thousand colleagues deliver the best experience in the world for our passengers every day,” said Hamad Al-Khater, Qatar Airways Group CEO.
Other notable winners include Cathay Pacific for the best crew and inflight entertainment, and STARLUX Airlines topping the new Cleanest Airline category. Budget airline AirAsia achieved its 17th consecutive win as the best low-cost airline.
In the airport categories, Plaza Premium Group was named best lounge group, and the Chase Sapphire Lounge at New York LaGuardia was recognized as the best independent airport lounge. The awards reflect ongoing developments in airline service quality and passenger experience design.
