In September 2026, the Slovenia-based Aviation Career Center (ACC) achieved a significant milestone by securing approval from the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) to operate as an Approved Training Organization (ATO). The approval, designated ATO 017, was issued on September 20, 2026, and authorizes ACC to deliver a comprehensive range of pilot training programs to meet Maldivian civil aviation standards.

The approved scope includes private pilot training, integrated and modular commercial pilot training, airline transport pilot training, instrument ratings, multi-engine piston class ratings, night ratings, Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC), as well as flight instructor and class rating courses. Additionally, MCAA issued a qualification certificate for ACC’s flight simulation training device located in Maribor, Slovenia. The device, qualified as an Aeroplane FNPT Level II, is suitable for multi-engine piston aircraft simulation within the approved training framework.

Abdulla Bagir, Flight Operations Inspector at MCAA, congratulated ACC, emphasizing its professionalism and responsiveness—stating, "I appreciate the professionalism and responsiveness shown by your staff at every stage of this process." The certification positions ACC as an authorized training provider under the Maldivian civil aviation framework, expanding international training opportunities.

ACC expressed gratitude to the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority for its cooperation and acknowledged the efforts of its instructors and support staff in achieving this milestone. This development marks a significant step for ACC’s growth in the international aviation training sector.
