SMBC Aviation Capital has officially handed over the airline's 250th aircraft, an Airbus A321-271NX (MSN 12932), to Wizz Air at the Airbus facility in Toulouse. This delivery, representing a landmark in Wizz Air’s expansion, was completed on November 20, as part of a seven-aircraft sale-and-leaseback agreement between the lessor and the airline. The aircraft, powered by IAE PW1133G-JM engines, signifies Wizz Air’s continued commitment to fleet modernization with environmentally efficient aircraft.
The event underscores the evolving partnership between SMBC Aviation Capital and Wizz Air, Europe's largest operator of A321neo aircraft.
