SpiceJet's stock experienced a significant rise of 6% on October 27, reaching ₹40.59, its highest in three months. This surge comes as the airline announced plans to double its daily flights to 250 by the Winter Schedule 2025, indicating robust growth and operational expansion.
The airline's expansion includes increasing its fleet with 19 leased aircraft and launching new international routes, such as nonstop flights to Phuket from Delhi and Mumbai. The move aims to accommodate a sharp increase in passenger demand across domestic and international markets.
Fleet and Schedule Growth
By late October 2025, SpiceJet expects to fully implement the schedule expansion, which will see the addition of the leased aircraft into its operations. The company plans a phased rollout starting October 26, 2025, to ensure smooth operations.
"This winter marks a significant phase of growth for SpiceJet," said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer. "Doubling our flights and expanding our fleet will enhance service frequency and enable us to launch new routes, delivering more options and better connectivity to our passengers."
