StandardAero has entered into a General Terms Agreement (GTA) with aircraft lessor AviLease to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for the CFM56-7B and LEAP-1A/LEAP-1B engines. The agreement enables StandardAero to support AviLease’s portfolio of approximately 200 aircraft, primarily leased to 53 airline customers worldwide. The company’s San Antonio, Texas facility, designated as a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, will handle the newer LEAP engines, while its Winnipeg and Dallas locations will service the established CFM56-7B engines, often used on Boeing 737NG aircraft.
StandardAero has industrialized over 475 components for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, and is expanding its technical workforce through dedicated training programs. The company’s history of supporting the CFM56-7B engine dates back to 2010, with services provided from Winnipeg and more recently at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, enhancing its capacity to meet global demand. Its service portfolio includes component repair, overhaul, asset management, and engine health monitoring services.
