Star Alliance, a leading global airline network, has announced the appointment of Simon Ralph as its new Managing Director for the United Kingdom. Based at London Heathrow Airport, Ralph will work closely with the alliance's headquarters in Singapore to strengthen its presence and stakeholder engagement in the UK.
In his new role, Ralph will focus on representing Star Alliance at Heathrow, collaborating with airport authorities and stakeholders to promote the interests of member airlines and enhance customer experience. According to Theo Panagiotoulias, the CEO of Star Alliance, Ralph's extensive aviation background will enable him to effectively handle the opportunities within the UK market.
Ralph brings over 25 years of experience in the aviation sector, having previously worked with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as Director of External Relations. His career includes various roles across London, Montreal, and Geneva, specializing in member relations and industry external affairs.
This appointment signifies Star Alliance's ongoing commitment to consolidating its strategic influence at one of Europe's busiest hubs and improving its engagement with UK aviation stakeholders.
