Star Alliance has been recognized as the World’s Leading Airline Alliance for the sixth consecutive year at the 2025 World Travel Awards, an accolade announced at the Grand Final Gala in Bahrain. This award underscores the alliance's persistent focus on enhancing the customer experience across all travel touchpoints, including booking, airports, and loyalty programs.
The CEO of Star Alliance, Theo Panagiotoulias, emphasized the collective effort of member airlines and the alliance’s dedication to creating easier and more comfortable travel journeys. Notably, the Los Angeles Airport Lounge operated by Star Alliance received the title of North America’s Leading Airport Lounge for the sixth straight year, highlighting its commitment to comfort and design excellence.
The World Travel Awards, in its 32nd edition, evaluates organizations across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors based on industry and consumer votes worldwide. Graham E. Cooke, founder of the awards, praised Star Alliance for its focus on delivering seamless, world-class travel experiences. Several individual members of the alliance also earned awards, including recognitions as the leading airline to Asia and Europe.
