The 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards have named Taiwan's Starlux Airlines as the world's cleanest airline, based on comprehensive passenger surveys. The award highlights the airline's exemplary standards in onboard and airport cleanliness, surpassing more established global carriers.
Founded in 2020, Starlux has rapidly gained recognition for its focus on passenger experience, operating a fleet of Airbus aircraft including the A321neo, A330, and flagship A350. Its network spans over 30 destinations worldwide, with strategic partnerships facilitating seamless U.S. connections.
Ranking and Industry Context
Skytrax's annual rankings are derived from over 300 airlines worldwide, drawing feedback from more than 100 nationalities. Asian airlines dominate the top positions, with nine out of ten in the top ten being from the region. Despite ranking second in cleanliness, Singapore Airlines remains highly awarded for overall service quality, including best airline and best economy class.
