TAT Technologies Ltd., a leading aerospace and aviation service provider, has announced the signing of a significant contract valued at approximately $36 million for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). The contract, with a major international cargo carrier, involves support for two APU models: the GTCP331-200/250 and GTCP331-500. This agreement marks a strategic expansion of TAT Technologies' services, reinforcing its position in the global aviation maintenance sector.
The deal is structured into two parts. The first is a two-year extension of an existing contract for the GTCP331-200/250 APU platform, valued at around $22 million, reflecting the longstanding relationship and trusted quality of support provided by TAT Technologies. The second component introduces a new four-year agreement with an option to extend for an additional two years concerning the GTCP331-500 APU, valued at approximately $14 million, which will enhance the fleet support capabilities of the cargo carrier.
This expanded contractual portfolio will improve operational efficiencies for the carrier and demonstrate TAT Technologies' growing influence in the aviation maintenance market. The company leverages its subsidiaries, such as Limco, which operates FAA-certified repair stations, to meet diverse maintenance needs across military and commercial aviation sectors. This contract underscores the company's strategic growth and ability to deliver high-quality MRO services worldwide, fostering stronger relationships with international clients and supporting the reliability of their aircraft fleets.
