Tecnam, the Italian aircraft manufacturer, has introduced the P2008JC NG, an advanced single-engine training aircraft designed to meet modern pilot training needs. Featuring a lightweight carbon fiber fuselage, metal wings, a fuel-injected Rotax 912 iSc engine, and a Garmin G3X Touch glass cockpit, the aircraft signifies a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the P2008JC.
The new aircraft is targeted for certification under EASA CS-23 standards, setting a benchmark for safety and reliability in flight training. Tecnam's focus on integrating composite materials and advanced avionics aims to improve training efficiency and provide students with experience on modern systems used in current training aircraft.
Molly McMillin, a veteran aviation journalist, highlighted that Tecnam’s innovation reflects industry demands for versatile, state-of-the-art trainers. As Tecnam prepares for certification, the company intends to supply flight schools and training centers worldwide, supporting the next generation of commercial pilots with reliable and advanced aircraft.
