Textron Aviation Inc. announced that high-speed internet via Starlink is now available for its Hawker 700, 800, and 900 series aircraft following the FAA's issuance of AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). The Starlink Aviation Performance Kit, utilizing Low Earth Orbit satellites, offers enhanced connectivity across land, water, and remote regions, supporting streaming, video calls, and online applications with speeds up to 1 Gbps and latency as low as 20 ms.

Brad White, senior vice president of Customer Support at Textron Aviation, stated: “Hawker operators continue to look to Textron Aviation for long-term care and upgrade solutions that ensure their aircraft remain mission-ready in today's operating environment. By expanding Starlink's availability, we reinforce our commitment to supporting the Hawker fleet.”

Enhanced Connectivity and Installation Options

Operators can schedule installation at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and select international centers. The new system aims to improve in-flight connectivity reliability, especially in areas where traditional Wi-Fi might be limited. Customers are encouraged to contact Textron Aviation Customer Support for more details on the upgrade options.
