Thailand's Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT) has appointed Miss Paweena Jariyathitipong as its new president, making history as the company's first female leader. The appointment, effective January 16, 2026, was approved during the board meeting held on December 24, 2025, chaired by Mr. Apirat Chaiwongnoi.
Miss Paweena brings extensive experience in airport management, with expertise spanning finance, engineering, business administration, commerce, and services. Her leadership aims to spearhead a significant organizational transformation that will elevate Thailand’s airports to meet international standards.
Focus on Global Standard Transformation
In her inaugural statement, she committed to advancing AOT under the vision of “World Class Hospitality.” Her strategic plans include enhancing passenger experiences across all touchpoints by improving infrastructure, amenities, and offering modern, premium services aligned with traveler needs.
“A key priority is the acceleration of investment projects under the ‘Smart Investment’ initiative to deliver optimal returns,”
She emphasized the importance of balancing revenue streams between aeronautical and non-aeronautical sources to achieve long-term financial sustainability, especially in the face of industry headwinds. Paweena also intends to foster an agile, collaborative team capable of adapting swiftly to change.
Her leadership is expected to reinforce Thailand’s position as a major regional aviation hub, promote investor confidence, and support the country’s economic growth through prudent cost management and strategic investments.
