Titan Aviation Leasing, a venture between Titan Aviation Holdings Inc. and Bain Capital, has announced the delivery of an Airbus A330-200P2F aircraft (MSN 832) to JD Airlines, the cargo carrier of JD.com. This event signifies the start of a new long-term leasing relationship aimed at expanding JD Airlines’ freighter capacity to meet the growing e-commerce logistics demand across Asia.
The aircraft, with a payload capacity of up to 61 tonnes and a range of 4,200 nautical miles, will support the freight carrier’s international and regional operations, enabling faster and more flexible logistics solutions. Eamonn Forbes, Chief Commercial Officer of Titan, stated that this transaction is aligned with their strategy of investing in high-demand freight segments and underscores China's importance in the global trade network.
This is the first of two Airbus A330-200P2F aircraft scheduled for delivery, with the second expected early next year. Both aircraft will be managed by Titan, bolstering JD Logistics’ fleet and capacity for future growth, and supporting expanding cross-border supply chains in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
