Titan Aviation Leasing, a joint venture between Titan Aviation Holdings and Bain Capital, has sold two Boeing 737-800SF freighter aircraft to ST Engineering, a Singapore-based technology and engineering firm. The aircraft remain on long-term lease with Georgian Airlines and ASL Airlines, facilitating Titan’s strategy of capital reallocation towards acquiring new aircraft while maintaining ongoing revenue from existing leases.
ST Engineering reaffirmed their commitment to expanding their portfolio of green, next-generation freighters, emphasizing the importance of fleet flexibility in the current cargo industry. Both companies highlighted the aircraft, which underwent passenger-to-freighter conversions in 2022, as vital to their growth and operational plans.
According to Eamonn Forbes, Chief Commercial Officer at Titan Aviation Leasing, the sale allows for the realization of value and strategic positioning for future growth. Ramesh Krishna, Head of Aircraft Leasing at ST Engineering, added that this transaction underscores their focus on sustainable, modern fleet solutions in a market where demand for such capacity continues to rise.
This deal reflects the broader industry trend of asset monetization paired with long-term leasing, ensuring market liquidity and fleet adaptability. As the demand for efficient freighter aircraft persists, such transactions are expected to support the ongoing supply of environmentally friendly cargo capacity without disrupting existing lease agreements.
