The Indian Aviation Academy in New Delhi hosted a comprehensive "Train the Trainer" program organized by IFOA India, aimed at enhancing instructional skills among aviation professionals. Over four days, participants from various sectors such as safety, operations, and regulatory roles engaged in sessions led by international experts, including Kenneth Kronborg of the International Flight Operations Academy.
The program emphasized instructional design, adult learning, assessment methods, and communication skills, with a focus on linking training outcomes to operational safety and compliance standards. Participants included flight safety officers, cabin crew trainers, and former military officers, all benefiting from interactive activities and peer discussions tailored to real-world aviation training challenges.
Senthilvel Balasubramanian, General Manager of Training at IAA, facilitated the inaugural session, while leading trainers from IFOA directed the curriculum, which also covered self-assessment for trainers and communication clarity. The event fostered a collaborative environment for sharing diverse operational perspectives and applying instructional strategies across various aviation disciplines.
This initiative reflects ongoing efforts within India's aviation sector to raise training standards and safety awareness through focused professional development programs.
