United Airlines experienced significant passenger growth on its Croatian routes during the initial months of the 2026 summer season. The carrier carried nearly 30,100 passengers, according to the United States Bureau of Transportation Statistics, across services to Dubrovnik and Split during April, May, and June.

The Newark to Split seasonal route, launched on April 30 aboard a Boeing 767-300ER, carried 6,457 passengers with an average cabin load factor of 73%. This marks a promising start for the new transatlantic service, which operated thrice weekly and will return in the 2027 summer season.

Meanwhile, the established Newark to Dubrovnik service continued to perform well, handling 23,639 passengers during the same period, representing a 10.8% increase from the previous year. Its load factor improved from 77.6% in 2025 to 83.2% in 2026.

Despite these positive results, the airline has not yet decided whether to extend these seasonal Croatian flights into 2027. The airline has indicated that schedule details for the upcoming season will be announced later this year, as peak summer months beginning in July through September are yet to be included in the current figures.
