United Airlines has announced the resumption of its service between Saipan and Tokyo Narita, scheduled for July 12, 2026, after suspending operations due to the damage caused by Typhoon Sinlaku on May 7.

The airline's Boeing 737-900 aircraft will operate the route three times weekly, restoring a key connection disrupted by the typhoon. During the suspension, United maintained reduced operations to Guam International and other regional airports, with the service restoration expected to bolster tourism and economic activity in Saipan.

Other regional carriers, including Jeju Air and Philippine Airlines, are also planning to resume Saipan flights in late June, contributing to the rebound of travel in the North Pacific region. Local flights within the Mariana Islands continue to operate normally despite the typhoon's impact.

The route reopening reflects United Airlines' ongoing commitment to its network in the Pacific, with additional scheduling data indicating a comprehensive capacity enhancement at Chicago O'Hare, the airline's base, supporting its extensive fleet and destination coverage.
