The United States and South Korea have conducted a comprehensive long-range aviation exercise in Korea, exemplifying their combined military capabilities and alliance strength. The exercise, known as Talon Reach, took place from March 9 to 12, involving various aircraft including AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, UH-60 Black Hawks, and CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters. Soldiers from the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade participated in reconnaissance, precision fires, and island seizure operations over a distance exceeding 1,300 miles (2,092 kilometers).

The drills emphasized interoperability, with support from small unmanned aircraft systems for reconnaissance and targeting. An Apache unit executed a simulated attack against enemy targets as part of broader joint operations. The exercise showcased the operational readiness of the U.S.-South Korea alliance amid regional security concerns and was seen as a demonstration of the nations' joint capabilities and commitment to regional stability.
