US-Bangla Airlines has improved its standing to become the fourth-ranked regional airline in India and South Asia, according to Skytrax’s 2026 airline rankings. The carrier previously held fifth place in the past two years. The latest list was topped by Maldivian Airlines, with Nepal Airlines and India’s Alliance Air placing second and third, respectively.

The Skytrax awards, based on passenger satisfaction surveys conducted between September 2025 and August 2026, include over 300 airlines with passengers from more than 100 countries providing ratings. US-Bangla Airlines noted that it aims to grow its fleet, broaden its international routes, increase flight frequency, and implement technology-driven services for passengers.

The airline’s new position marks a significant achievement for the private Bangladeshi carrier, which has been striving to enhance service quality and network coverage in the competitive regional aviation sector. Skytrax’s awards are recognized globally for their comprehensive passenger feedback and are considered a benchmark for airline quality.

In the 2025 rankings, US-Bangla was ranked fifth, with the top position held by Air India Express, followed by Maldivian, Alliance Air, and Star Air. The awards are based on passenger ratings of airline operations and onboard experience, reflecting the evolving standards and customer expectations within the industry.
