US-Bangla Airlines, based in Dhaka, is preparing to initiate a significant aircraft leasing program valued at USD 4-5 billion within the next 60 days, as announced by Managing Director Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun. The airline has not specified the number or the specific types of aircraft involved, nor whether they will be Boeing or Airbus models. Previously, in July, US-Bangla disclosed plans to dry lease 21 Boeing aircraft, including fifteen B737-8s and six B737-800s, scheduled for delivery by the end of 2027.
