The Vietnamese airline Vietjet has achieved a significant milestone by being named among the country's top 50 listed companies for 2026, according to Forbes Vietnam. This recognition underscores the airline's robust financial performance and strategic expansion efforts.

During the first half of 2026, Vietjet's consolidated revenue increased by 44 percent year-on-year, reaching VNĐ51.54 trillion, which accounts for nearly 60 percent of its full-year target. Its net profit after tax stood at VNĐ1.37 trillion, representing about 64.5 percent of its annual goal.

Growth Drivers and Strategic Focus

Vietjet continues to expand its international flight network and modernize its fleet with new-generation aircraft models. The company's efforts aim to develop a comprehensive aviation ecosystem and enhance connectivity between Việt Nam and key global markets, particularly in tourism and business sectors.

"In the volatile aviation industry, growth must go hand-in-hand with capital efficiency, financial discipline, and strong management capabilities," said Vietjet Vice Chairwoman and CFO Hồ Ngọc Yến Phương.

Vietjet was ranked alongside other prominent Vietnamese firms such as technology giant FPT, Vinamilk, Petrolimex, and HDBank. This recognition is viewed as validation of the airline's strategic investments and operational resilience in a recovering Vietnamese aviation market.

"Every investment decision we make is driven by our goal to create sustainable value for shareholders and to increase opportunities for the public to fly," she added. The accolade also reflects the airline's commitment to positioning itself as a major international player in Southeast Asia and beyond.

This achievement comes at a time when Vietnam's aviation sector is rebounding from global disruptions, with increasing international travel demand supporting airlines' growth. Vietjet's recognition by Forbes reinforces its role in exemplifying Vietnam's expanding global connectivity and economic integration.
