Vietnam’s low-cost airline Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has announced robust financial outcomes for the third quarter of 2025, achieving nearly all of its annual targets and expanding its regional flight network. The airline posted revenue of VND16.7 trillion (approx. SGD828 million) and a pre-tax profit of VND393 billion (around SGD19.5 million) for the three months ending in September. Covering the first nine months, total air transport revenue reached VND52.3 trillion (about SGD2.59 billion), with a pre-tax profit of VND1.99 trillion (roughly SGD98.6 million), reflecting a 28% year-on-year increase.
Vietjet’s total revenue expanded to VND52.8 trillion (around SGD2.62 billion), with total profit rising 17% to VND2.05 trillion (about SGD101.8 million). Ancillary services contributed significantly, with revenues climbing 19% year-on-year. The airline currently operates 219 routes, including 169 international and 50 domestic, with a fleet of 98 aircraft. Passenger traffic reached 21.5 million during the period, supported by high load factors.
Network Expansion and Future Plans
The carrier plans to significantly enhance connectivity between Singapore and Vietnam, increasing flight frequency on key routes. Starting from November 21, 2025, the Singapore–Da Nang route will operate two daily flights, and from December 23, 2025, the Singapore–Phu Quoc route will have seven weekly flights. These expansions aim to support tourism and trade, strengthening regional economic ties. Vietjet’s management has also announced a 20% stock dividend and investments in sustainability initiatives, including developing a maintenance center and testing sustainable aviation fuels. Awarded the 2025 Sustainability Award by AirlineRatings, Vietjet continues to be recognized for its growth and corporate responsibility.
