West Air (China) has significantly increased its registered capital following a major investment round. The airline, based in Chongqing, expanded its capital from CNY1.5 billion to CNY3 billion, attracting two new investors who acquired substantial stakes. Chongqing Yuxiang Hongwei Enterprise Management Partnership invested CNY950 million for a 31.2% share, while Chongqing Hanyu Shenghang Enterprise Management Partnership contributed CNY600 million for a 19.7% stake. This capital increase reflects the firm’s strategic expansion and strength in the Chinese aviation sector.
As of late 2025, West Air operates a fleet of 50 aircraft, serving 63 destinations with a total of 180 daily flights. The airline has announced plans for fleet renewal and route expansion to enhance its market position. Located in Chongqing, the airline continues to focus on scheduled carrier services, leveraging its improved capital base to invest in new aircraft and explore new routes, ensuring competitive growth and service quality.
