Airline
Breeze Airways is a US low-cost airline headquartered in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. According to Wikipedia, it was founded on 31 July 2018 as Moxy Airways by David Neeleman, who previously co-founded Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue and Azul. It began flying on 27 May 2021 with a Tampa to Charleston service. The parent company is Breeze Aviation Group, Inc. Breeze is not a member of any of the three global alliances. It keeps the old name in its codes: IATA MX, ICAO MXY and callsign MOXY.
Breeze flies point-to-point routes, often from smaller secondary airports that larger carriers have left with little service. Wikipedia lists its operating bases as Akron/Canton, Charleston (SC), Fort Myers, Hartford, New Orleans, Norfolk, Orlando, Providence, Provo, Raleigh/Durham, Tampa and Vero Beach, with about 85 destinations. Simple Flying reported that the airline planned its first international flights for early 2026. Check the airline's current route map before booking.
Wikipedia's fleet table, dated June 2026, shows 62 aircraft: 56 Airbus A220-300s and 6 Embraer 190s, with 34 more A220s on order. The airline retired its seven Embraer 195s in 2025. Fleet numbers change often as deliveries arrive. The infobox on the same page gives 58, so treat the exact figure with care.
