Airline
Trinity Airways is the new name of T'way Air, a South Korean carrier. According to Wikipedia, its predecessor Hansung Airlines obtained an air operator's certificate in 2005 and ceased operations in 2009. The airline was reorganised and relaunched as T'way Air in 2010. It was later acquired by Daemyung Sono Group, which became Sono Trinity Group in May 2026. The rebrand was announced on 8 September 2025, and the airline began operating as Trinity Airways on 10 September 2026. The IATA code (TW), flight numbers, schedules and existing bookings were unchanged, according to ch-aviation. The airline is not a member of any of the three global alliances. Its head office is in Seoul.
The airline operates domestic, regional and long-haul flights from Seoul Gimpo and Seoul Incheon, with Daegu also listed as a base by ch-aviation. Wikipedia lists around 46 destinations. The Gimpo–Jeju domestic route was its first service in 2010. Its first long-haul route was Seoul to Sydney, announced in 2022. Frankfurt flights began in October 2024 under a concession linked to the Korean Air–Asiana merger.
Wikipedia gives a fleet of 48 aircraft in October 2026, though other sources show different totals (43 to 51). An earlier ch-aviation count of 44 aircraft comprised Airbus A330-200 and A330-300, Boeing 737-800 and 737-8 (MAX 8), and two Boeing 777-300ER. The airline says it plans to introduce Airbus A330-900neo and more 737-8 aircraft. The Alviator reports the first Trinity-painted 737 MAX 8 entered service on 10 September 2026. Aircraft are being repainted gradually.
Trinity Airways describes itself as sitting between a full-service and a low-cost carrier. The Korea Herald reports that from the second half of 2026 it plans to introduce premium lounges, inflight entertainment, onboard Wi-Fi and upgraded meals, starting with long-haul routes. These are plans, so check what is available on a specific flight before booking. Seat pitch and cabin details were not confirmed in the sources reviewed.
