In 2025, several major airlines announced significant financial results and strategic developments. The airline's CEO, Peter Foster, emphasized their resilience and adaptive capabilities in navigating these headwinds.

Meanwhile, Korean Air was recognized with multiple awards at the FTE APEX Asia Expo 2025, highlighting its leadership in digital innovation and service excellence. Its AI Contact Centre platform, developed with AWS, and its work on autonomous UAV technology contributed to the accolades. The airline continues to maintain its Five-Star rating, a testament to its service standards.

Etihad Airways' loyalty program, Etihad Guest, introduced more flexible options for its members, including seat purchases with miles at fixed rates and the ability to earn Tier Miles on redemption bookings. These enhancements aim to improve passenger experience and loyalty engagement across Etihad's extensive global network.

Emirates announced it will operate a third daily flight to Nairobi from March 1, 2026, increasing capacity and connectivity to support Kenya’s tourism ambitions. Operating with a Boeing 777, the additional service will bolster Emirates' capacity into the Kenyan market and facilitate further international travel.

Additionally, Akasa Air announced plans to commence operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport in December 2025. The airline will initiate flights connecting to Delhi, Goa, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, marking a milestone for Navi Mumbai's airport infrastructure and Akasa's expansion in India.
