Switzerland-based aviation consulting firm Alpcor Aviation announced the launch of its new data analytics platform, RouteScore, at Routes World 2025 in Hong Kong. Designed to facilitate more informed and sustainable route development, RouteScore consolidates over 20 different data sets to provide a comprehensive view of potential route performance, aiding airports and airlines in identifying and prioritizing viable new destinations.
Garth Lund, Founder and Managing Director of Alpcor Aviation, explained that the platform aims to streamline the route evaluation process by narrowing down a broad list of potential destinations to a targeted shortlist based on data insights. This approach responds to the industry’s increasing reliance on advanced analytics amid rising market complexity and resource constraints.
Supporting Industry Growth Through Better Data
The company emphasized that successful network expansion depends on accurately identifying high-potential routes and reducing uncertainty. Alpcor’s methodology includes preparing business cases and financial projections beyond initial route analysis, helping stakeholders make well-informed decisions that promote sustainable growth.
“RouteScore helps airports look at a wide range of potential destinations and then, based on data, narrow that down to a focused shortlist,”
said Garth Lund.
Alpcor Aviation, which recently joined the Routes 360 platform, aims to showcase its expertise and extend its network of route development professionals. Its approach supports the broader industry goal of building resilient, efficient air route networks through better decision-making tools.
