Premium airline BeOnd is intensifying its expansion plans, having announced the launch of a new subsidiary in Saudi Arabia. The airline is in the process of obtaining an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, following a government tender awarded to BeOnd for a national charter carrier service. The move enables BeOnd to operate local and international charter flights within the Kingdom.

Currently, BeOnd operates between Riyadh (RUH) and Malé (MLE) in the Maldives, as well as to Milan-Malpensa (MXP) from Red Sea International Airport (RSI). The company’s CEO, Tero Taskila, revealed plans to significantly increase its fleet, which currently comprises two aircraft—an Airbus A319 and an Airbus A321—by adding six more in 2026, and negotiating for up to 16 aircraft by 2028 as part of a long-term goal to reach 56 aircraft by 2030.

Expansion into new markets

The airline also aims to diversify its operations globally. Despite the setback of its partnership with the now-defunct US carrier New Pacific Airlines, BeOnd is pursuing a similar franchise-based model in the United States with another partner to establish BeOnd America. The company believes this multi-AOC approach will allow it to operate under different registrations while sharing operational resources, minimizing risks from market and seasonal fluctuations.

"We expect profitability by the end of 2026, supported by high load factors and ongoing charter requests," said Tero Taskila.

BeOnd is eyeing new European and Asian destinations such as London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Geneva, Rome, Hanoi, Bangkok, Mumbai, Delhi, and Seoul, aiming to expand its reach in premium travel segments. The company’s growth is further backed by a recent $100 million Series C funding round, indicating investor confidence in its strategic direction.
