Maldives-based airline BeOnd has announced a strategic partnership with US carrier New Pacific Airlines to establish a new presence in the United States under the BeOnd America brand. The partnership involves launching operations using eight Airbus A320 family aircraft, with plans to launch pending FAA approvals. BeOnd currently operates connecting flights from Malé to Dubai, Riyadh, and Red Sea International, and aims to expand its fleet to 27 aircraft by the end of the decade.
The collaboration between the two airlines seeks to strengthen their international networks and position the US as a key market. BeOnd’s CEO, Tero Taskila, stated that this partnership brings operational depth and supports BeOnd’s multi-jurisdictional strategy. Meanwhile, New Pacific Airlines operates three Boeing 757-200 jets offering charter services within the US and has an existing strategic partnership with Private Jet Services.
Strategic Growth and Regional Expansion
BeOnd is also pursuing an Air Operator’s Certificate in the United Arab Emirates and is focused on expanding in the Gulf region. The airline currently operates all-business-class aircraft connecting Maldives to several major cities, including Dubai, Munich, Zurich, and Milan. The partnership aims to enhance their global reach and develop new routes, with the US market identified as a significant growth opportunity.
This alliance signifies a broader effort by both airlines to adapt to a changing aviation landscape, with future plans for additional fleet growth and certification pursuits that will expand their operational scope.
