Emirates announced on 14 October 2026 that it has opened a new travel store in Tokyo's Otemachi business district, and that it will add more flights to Narita International Airport from 26 October 2026. According to AeroTime, the changes will bring the airline's Japan operations to 28 passenger services per week.

The new Tokyo store

The Emirates store is on the first floor of Otemachi One, 1-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku. AeroTime reports it is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:00 local time and closed at weekends and on public holidays.

Multilingual travel consultants serve Japanese and international customers, helping with bookings, travel information and tailored itineraries. The space also has a self-service kiosk, a queue management system and a selfie mirror with backdrops of destinations in the airline's network. A Business Class seat from the airline's Boeing 777 is on display for visitors to try.

The opening followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the UAE's ambassador to Japan, Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, and senior Emirates executives including Orhan Abbas and Satish Sethi. Tetsuya Mori of the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau's International Air Transport Division was also present, along with local travel trade and media. The store follows the Emirates Travel Store in Osaka, which opened in July 2025.

More flights to Narita

Emirates currently flies from Dubai International Airport to three Japanese airports: Narita and Haneda in the Tokyo area, and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. From 26 October 2026 it will add further flights to Narita, taking its total to 28 passenger services a week to and from Japan.

AeroTime says the additional flights will be flown by a Boeing 777-300ER, adding more than 300 seats in each direction and 20 metric tonnes of cargo capacity per day. Emirates said the expansion is intended to meet growing demand for travel to Japan and to give travellers departing from Japan more options.

What this means for travellers

  • More seats between Tokyo and Dubai from 26 October 2026, which may improve availability on a route that connects Japan with the Middle East and, via Dubai, onward destinations.
  • Travellers in Tokyo can book and plan trips in person at the Otemachi store on weekdays, with Japanese and international customers catered for.
  • Those curious about the cabin can try a 777 Business Class seat at the store.

AeroTime does not state how many extra weekly flights are being added, the exact schedule or fares, so travellers should check Emirates' booking channels for timings.
