Building on its significant network expansion across East and Southeast Asia, Emirates SkyCargo has introduced a weekly freighter service to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The cargo division of Emirates Airlines now operates 43 destinations globally with dedicated freighters, including 11 in Asia, serving markets with high demand for logistics support.
Badr Abbas, Emirates SkyCargo’s Divisional Senior Vice President, commented: “Our operations across East and Southeast Asia are among the most expansive in our network. With increased flight frequencies and capacity, the region is central to our growth plans through 2026 and beyond. Markets such as Thailand and Vietnam excel as global trade hubs, driven by manufacturing, digital economies, and logistics infrastructure. We remain committed to providing reliable, efficient cargo services to support regional growth.”
Regional Expansion and Capacity Boost
In addition, Emirates SkyCargo has increased freighter frequency to Hanoi to four weekly services, with three directly linking Dubai and Hanoi, and a fourth connecting Dubai, Taipei, and Hanoi. The airline also deployed a sixth weekly freighter to Guangzhou to address high demand for consumer technology, electrical goods, and eCommerce in mainland China. The airline’s extensive operations include 25 gateways, 45 freighter services, 13 charter flights, and 315 passenger flights weekly, with an available capacity of 21,000 tonnes.
