Flydubai has announced adjustments to its seasonal flight schedule in the Balkans for the summer of 2026. The airline will extend the suspension of services to Ljubljana, with flights resuming on May 22, delayed from the initial plan of May 1, as part of its regional network rebuilding efforts.
In addition to Ljubljana, Flydubai is increasing flight frequencies to several ex-YU cities. Flights to Belgrade are set to grow from three weekly in April to ten in May, with a second daily flight on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, aiming to return to pre-war levels of fourteen weekly flights by late May. Services to Zagreb, Sarajevo, Tivat, and Dubrovnik are also being expanded, with seasonal routes to Tivat and Dubrovnik resuming earlier than in previous years, on May 23 and May 24 respectively.
Regional Network Rebuilding
Flydubai is gradually restoring its regional flights, adjusting frequencies based on seasonal demand and operational considerations. The plans include daily flights to Belgrade from May 23, daily services to Zagreb from May 23, and increased frequencies to Sarajevo, Tivat, and Dubrovnik throughout May and June. These efforts reflect the airline's strategy to strengthen its presence in the ex-YU markets amid regional dynamics.
"Flydubai’s network adjustments aim to better serve regional demand and recover from disruptions caused by the regional situation," said a Flydubai spokesperson.
As regional travel demand continues to evolve, Flydubai remains flexible, adjusting its schedules to meet passenger needs while gradually rebuilding its presence in the Balkans. The full resumption of services to Ljubljana and other key markets is expected to contribute positively to regional connectivity this summer.
