Gulf Air has expanded its flight routes to South Asia through Dammam, in response to ongoing regional airspace restrictions affecting Bahrain and neighboring areas. The carrier now operates additional flights from King Fahd International Airport, offering more travel options to cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Kochi, and Dhaka.
This development is part of Gulf Air’s broader effort to adapt its network according to regional developments, ensuring connectivity for passengers affected by airspace closures. The airline’s operations from Dammam include connections to major cities worldwide, such as London and Mumbai, as it establishes Dammam as a temporary hub.
Ground Transport and Transit Support
Passengers booked on these routes will benefit from ground transportation services between Bahrain and King Fahd International Airport, facilitating their journeys despite the restrictions. Additionally, Gulf Air provides transit visa support for passengers traveling through Saudi Arabia using its transfer arrangements. Travelers to Saudi Arabia are responsible for arranging their own visas.
Airline officials state that bookings can be made via Gulf Air's website, app, or through authorized agents. These network adjustments reflect Gulf Air’s ongoing efforts to ease congestion and sustain regional connectivity during a period of airspace limitations.
